Operation Julie's Smile Blog Hop

Welcome to the weekend everyone! Please bare with me as this post might be a bit lengthy! We are taking part in a blog hop, a very big blog hop for a fellow crafter that is in need. Please meet Julie and take a second to read her story:

“The creative blogging community is coming together this weekend to help one of our friends, Julie Ranae.  You may know her as the Design Team Coordinator for many wonderful companies from bakers twine, die cuts, rubber stamps and more.  What many people don’t know about Julie Ranae is that she has had some pretty major dental surgeries in her lifetime due to medication she had to take as a child.  It was in her plans to think about having all of her teeth  replaced at some point in the next 5 years, a decision that was pretty easy to plan out.  But then it happened…she chipped her front teeth on a weekend a month ago. The dentist told her there was no way to save them & that it was his recommendation that she give in and have them all her teeth removed soon, but for that day, they needed to get her front teeth done so her gums could begin to heal. He said he would 'work out payments with her to have ALL this work done...but when she called to make her appt for the first step of impressions, they told her the amount of money that was needed and that the 'payments' applied only to the two teeth that were extracted that day. Her husband Paul was with her & that too, was his understanding as well. So this is how she has found herself in this situation…Needing at least $4000 to get started and another $3000 to finish the process…a total of $7000.

Nicole Rixon, owner of Sweet Stamp Shop put together this benefit after finding out about this situation and before Julie Ranae knew it, it took flight!
Because she is an event organizer by trade, she has taken on the job of organizing all of the blogs in this hop as her way of ‘working overtime’ for what she needs, the same as if she were able to work overtime at an outside job to pay for the work to be done.
It is the goal of all of these generous friends & sponsors to help make this situation more do-able for our friend so that she can share a brand new smile with all of us soon.
If there is anything you can do to help with a financial donation, there is a donation button ready for you to click.  Any amount is appreciated and ALL DONATIONS will be eligible for prizes from our sponsor pool of over $2500.”

If you look to the right hand side you will see a "operation julie's smile" donation button this is where you can donate money to her cause.

You have quite a few chances to win some very generous prizes from this blog hop, there is over $2500 worth of prizes that have been donated and will be up for grabs to those of you that:
1. leave comments along your hopping
2. donate money through the donation button
3. are a blog hop host

We know that this hop is very large so it will be for the entire weekend so take your time going through all the blogs, there may be some breaks along the way and we appreciate your patience while finding you way to the end!
If at any time you get lost go back to the beginning which is the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog. Also there is a list of all the companies that have donated prizes for this hop so go over and take a look at all the generosity. It's amazing how many caring people there are in this world and I know The Stamping Boutique is very proud to be taking part in this!

Soooo....let's get to it....if you have come here from Denise Prosser you are on the right track...if not, go back to Sweet Stamp Shop and see where you got lost!

Here are a few things that the DT has put together for this hop....they are fab!!!!

Melissa:
I just love the DP or maybe it's embossing at the bottom and those sparkly letters!!! Julie....you'll soon feel confident to "smile" again!!!

Sandy:
So stinkin' cute in purple. I know it's hard to see in this size but this is what the sentiment reads (I had to share because it's sooo cute): other than a dimple in a cute little chin, what is more adorable than a toothless grin?

Jessica:
This is the wonderful friend that brought to the attention of TSB that there was some help needed for Julie!! She made a wonderful card to share as well as took out a lot of time to help coordinate between myself and the ladies over at the Sweet Stamp Shop!

Jen:
Pretty in pink...how lovely is this? Love the distressing and that fabric flower.

                                     Christy:
A vibrant card with fun embellies to hopefully bring a little sunshine, what a great way to use a sentiment as the star of your card!

From here you will be going to Laurel Seabrook. I hope you have fun hopping this weekend and take a moment to help in any way you can to this wonderful cause. This is a wonderful example of people just simply.......helping people!!!! Have a great weekend!

Where to find TSB this week!

Up for a sketch challenge?  It's not too late to join the challenge over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp ending tomorrow and there are only a few entries currently. I (Christy) created this card using "sunshine sentiment", what a great sketch to let your sentiment be the focus of your card!

October is "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" and we are honored and proud to be sponsoring the first annual "Link Up For Pink Party."  From October 1st-14th lots of wonderful pink projects are being created and sent to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition to bring a little encouragement to those recently diagnosed.  This is just one way we as crafters can bond together and share our amazing talents to bring a little smile to the faces of those who need it!  Please take the time to support this great cause, you can see all the details on ho to participate here.

Both of these BEAUTIFUL cards were created by Jenn Scull using images perfect for this special cause! For her first card above, she has used "Princess Jennifer Latter Breast Cancer Awareness". What a lovely card using a non-traditional shape for her base, perfect paper & embellies choices make this a real delight!
Now for her second card she has worked with "Ribbon Rose" creating a pinkalicious masterpiece! I just love how that ribbon sparkles!!!

In the mood for a little Christmas?  Well then check out this yummy card created by Arielle using "Gingerbread Man with Buttons." She created this card for the monthly Christmas challenge at
The Crazy Challenge that TSB is sponsoring. The challenge was to use "no red or green" and it runs until October 15th, you can see all the details here.

Let's meet Jennifer

Hello! My name is Jennifer S. and THEY say I am a coffee addict...... I don't think so, but I do love coffee and pink and buttons and shabby/vintage and lace and trims and paper (especially Basic Grey!) and my family and my dogs and papercrafting! :) but really, I have been playing at this hobby/obsession for about 10 years now and loving every minute of it. I repurpose all kinds of things, so don't be surprised if you find a belt loop from one of my son's shorts or perhaps a button from my hubby's shirt or a tea tag from my morning cuppa somewhere on my creation! it's all about the fun and whimsy!

We are very excited to have Jen back as she was one of our original TSB designers back when the store first opened.  She has wonderful style that is all her own and knows how to pick the perfect papers/embellishments to compliment her image.  She has used "autumn boots" which can be found here.

Let's meet Julia

Born in New York, my parents are from Puerto Rico. Moved to Puerto Rico at a very young age and have lived here since.

I am married with a wonderful man and am mom to three young adults, all are college students.  Ok, I have to admit that I have more kids, well the furry kind: three Labrador puppies.

From a very young age, crafts became my thing, that special moment where you are alone, with yourself, your thoughts and your dreams.

Didn't study arts, instead became a Chemical Engineer minor in Water Treatment and another minor in Air Pollution and Environmental Engineering. Love my work, but have to admit I enjoy more my time crafting.  My beautiful family is very encouraging and is always telling me that I should continue with my love for crafts.

Recently discovered paper crafts. Have to admit that I didn't imagine that this was going to become one of my favorite crafts. There's so much space for creating and so many possibilities, so many beautiful ideas and projects and best of all so many talented people willing to share their knowledge.

Julia has been a loyal TSB follower and is always creating outstanding projects using our images. This time is no exception, above she has created a lovely card using "Audrey the flower girl" which you can pick up here. Here "Best Wishes" card on the right has a fun design and fantastic coloring of "wedding car" which can be found here.

Let's meet Terri

My name is Terri, but I am commonly known in blogland as terriavidreader.
I've been making cards a little over 3 years in this style and I love it.  I make cards to donate to a local nursing home, for a local healthcare facility, for cancer fundraisers and children's causes and also a few for Operation Write Home.  But I also enjoy making cards for no specific reason - just to let someone know I care.
I think overall my style is CAS, but every now and then I like to mix it up!
I have a new granddaughter (my first) and I've started thinking about scrapbooking too.
I have very eclectic taste in music and evidently clipart! I love such a variety of things.  You never know what kind of card you may find on my blog!

Terri has used one of her favorite images called "jewelry box" which can be found here. What a wonderful clean and simple design with a little touch of flare added by that spectacular bling!  Head over to her blog Terri's Tries @ Making Cards and become a new follower!

Let's meet Ali aka Dragonlady

I am a working Mum of two gorgeous girls and we live in a market town in Devon UK. I have always enjoyed some sort of creative craft. I started with Tapestry, then moved to cross stitch but needed something more immediate which was when I took up card making. I entered the world of blogging two years ago and have met the most wonderful people. I also do some digital scrapbooking and am trying to get into altered art ...... baby steps!!! I am so pleased to have been asked to join this team and honoured to be using Tracey's fantastic images.

Can you say BLINGALICIOUS?  Yes I created a word to describe this sparkly delight, that gold is a total WOW factor!  Ali has used the "fairy's laundry line" image which you can pick up here.  I love the sentiment she used and how she added glitz to everything!  Wanna see more of her work?  Head over to her blog Crafty Dragons and become a follower!

Let's meet Audrey

Hello!!  I am Audrey E. and I live in Ohio in the USA.  I am SAHM to 4 diverse children, ages 7-12.  My oldest and youngest are girls and the middle 2 are boys.   My oldest daughter has high functioning Autism, which makes our family dynamic a little bit "atypical" and often quite challenging.   Although I have been crafting all my life in some form or another, I have pretty much stopped doing anything other than papercrafting over the past several years, with my focus being mainly on making cards.  Digital images have become my preferred method of stamping since I began using them about 2 years ago.  I am so thrilled to be a part of THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE's DT challenge team.  I have always LOVED Tracey's images and am so excited to be promoting them as a member of TSB DT.

How sweet is this card featuring "AJ & Audrey" sharing an ice cream cone before summer escapes them!  I just love her vibrant colors and how she framed this image.  If you want to pick up this image, head over to store and grab it here.

Now head over to Audrey's blog Peace, Love, & Crafting to see details of this card and become a follower too!
